The fusion of friendship, passion and exquisite cashmere design
Carole Benaroya and Stéphanie Eriksson are the two founders of the exquisite cashmere label Kujten. These two creative minds are linked by a long-standing friendship that began more than 30 years ago in their school days. Even then, they discovered their shared passion for fashion and all the wonderful things life has to offer.
With her experience and extensive knowledge in the fashion industry, Stéphanie Eriksson, who worked for the renowned English fashion house Joseph for many years, was able to deepen her expertise, especially in knitwear and cashmere. The fashion house Joseph is known in England for its high-quality knitwear and cashmere clothing.
Stéphanie was able to successfully incorporate this know-how into her own brand, Kujten. As Parisians, Carole and Stéphanie draw inspiration from some of fashion's biggest personalities, including Yves Saint Laurent, Joan Didion and Diane Airbus.
Kujten: The magic of Mongolia
After their first trip to magical Mongolia, the two designers were determined to create their own cashmere brand. The beauty of nature, the fascination of the place and the warm-hearted people had captivated them so much that they would have liked to stay there forever.
They were particularly impressed by the Capra Hisca goat, whose precious, incredibly soft fabric forms the basis for their cashmere world. The designers quickly agreed that their brand should bear the name of Mongolia's highest peak: Kujten.
